Natural Stone Competition:. As THERMOLIT was being designed, the focus was not the stone itself as an object but the haptic experience that emerges between the stone and the people.

Thermal performance, idiosyncratic texture and hygene are the fundemental usage motivations of natural stone throughout the construction history together with its benefit as a supporting member. As THERMOLIT was being designed, the focus was not the stone itself as an object but the haptic experience that emerges between the stone and the people. Thermolit goes one step further than being a static urban furniture by emphasizing the human experience and therefore creates a dynamic urban space. With the properties of capturing and transferring heat, thermolit calls all living creatures from different climatic geographies.

It triggers the activity of gathering which is an important issue of public space, by heating&cooling according to the temperature of wheather and serving a common purpose. By being produced from local stone where it is positioned emphasizes the idiosyncratic texture of natural stone and raises cultural awareness. TERMOLIT is positioned at different city locations and is shaped in accordance with practical necessity. It facilitates the haptic connection between stone and body in different positions like sitting, lying down, stepping on, leaning etc. TERMOLIT, which has a system working with greywater, adopts the principle of sustainability.
